Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are the requirements in order to participate?

Steinlein Productions’ workshops are developed for beginners, intermediates and professionals. Students must be at least 18 years old, and must show enthusiasm, good comportment and motivation during their training.

Foreign students must prove English-language knowledge through education or an English-language certificate. Steinlein Productions offers additional English-language classes as part of the program. These classes are aimed at improving English usage, pronunciation, conversational skills and the elimination of foreign accents.

It is considered a plus if the student has experience within the chosen training field, providing proof of prior performances or scholarships if available. International students must show that they have sufficient funds to afford their tuition as well as living expenses for the program’s duration. This can be verified through the student’s bank-account statement or proof of support by a parent, other close relative or a sponsor.

Steinlein Productions requires each student to obtain sufficient health-insurance coverage adapted to the U.S. Government’s International Exchange-Program standards.

How do I apply?

Please send your completed application by mail, fax or online form. Upon reviewing your application, SP will respond to confirm your acceptance. International programs require a nonrefundable $150 application fee per participant. Citizens of countries that are eligible for the visa-waiver program and who are staying fewer than three months in the United States may apply directly by filling out the application. Additional documentation will be requested by our admissions office.

All other international applicants may file their application and must then apply for the appropriate visa in order to enter the United States. Please contact us at apply@steinleinproductions.com for further assistance.

We encourage international students to apply several months prior to the workshop start date.

How are the workshops conducted? Will I meet celebrities? Will I gain hands-on experience?

All workshops include indoor-classroom training where industry professionals will share their valuable expertise in order to help cultivate students’ full potential. Further additional training, tours and field trips are organized so that students may experience the entertainment industry firsthand with behind-the-scenes looks inside major Hollywood studios and productions. Each student will be given a creative project on which to work during his or her training. As a special highlight, the featured workshops offer the unique opportunity to meet an entertainment-industry celebrity during the question-and-answer seminar.

How do I find the right accommodations during my stay?

Upon request, Steinlein Productions provides housing-placement service through an agency that offers home stay, rooms for rent, apartment rental and hotel accommodations depending on your budget and preferences. You may contact us at info@steinleinproductions.com.

What professional success did former participants have after the workshop?

After successful completion of their studies, all participants have moved on to either finish their studies in their home country, begin an internship in their chosen field or gain employment at a production company. The Steinlein Productions Internship Placement Program has successfully placed former participants at small- and medium-sized production companies, as well as at Hollywood’s famous Paramount, Warner Brothers and other world-renowned studios.
